In light of a recent home invasion where a homeowner was charged with assault for defending his family, we must ask: How safe do you feel in your own home? How is it that someone protecting their loved ones with force can face charges? This situation makes no sense.

The Liberal government’s lenient bail laws allow perpetrators to be back on the streets the day after being charged, sometimes even sooner.

Is this the kind of justice we want in Kingston and the Islands?
